COMPLEX DEMENTIA CARE UNIT (CDC)
Intercare’s Complex Dementia Care Unit (CDC) is a 28 bed unit that provides care to individuals with complex dementia whose care needs cannot be managed in a regular LTC setting.

The Complex Dementia Care Unit Team consists of:
- Attending Physicians who provide care in collaboration with the special care team and in consultation with Alberta Health Services/Calgary Zone.
- Clinical Team Leader is responsible for the overall operation of the Complex Dementia Care Unit and coordinates care with residents, families, staff and Attending Physicians.
- Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurse who provide 24 hour nursing care and support.
- Health Care Aides provides personal care and daily assistance.
- Recreation Therapy programming that offers social and quality of life activities aimed at maximizing resident growth and potential.
- Ready access to Social Work, Physical and Occupational Therapy, Psychiatry and Dietary professionals, each of whom works to meet the individual resident needs.
